In this down economy, many people are having hard times. The jobs, cash flow, and disposable income just isn’t there. People are already maxed out on their credit cards, so there are no options to load them up this year. It is a pretty bad time for Christmas to be rolling around, but it is here and we have to deal with it.

Again, this might sound impossible, but if you are flexible and willing to put in a little work, then I bet you can come up something really great.

Breakfast in Bed – The gifts of love rarely cost very much. I know the diamond industry wants you to believe you have to spend and spend and spend in order to show your love of your spouse or mate, but that isn’t the case. A simple breakfast in bed shows you care for them with action. And by doing something different, it can really bring a great spark to your life.
Creating a Music Mix – With a little time and research, you can compile a mix of favorite music for the recipient of your gift. All you have to do is take a little bit of time recording some of their favorite music to an mp3 folder or downloading them to a CD. If this were the 1980′s, this would be called a mix tape, but technology has thrown out tapes in our society.
Flowers – Believe it or not, flowers don’t cost over $10 and still a great gift idea. Ok, not all flowers cost over $10. The ones that fit our budget of $10 are still a really great gift idea. There is nothing wrong with saying I love you or care than with a batch of fresh flowers.
Seeds – Maybe you have a gardener on your gift list this year. A great idea is to purchase some seeds for them to be able to start their garden. If this person is in the house with you, then you will be able to reap the benefit of the fresh foods as well.
