Montel Williams is part of a nonprofit organization, Abatin Wellness Center, who is interested in becoming a marijuana dispensary in Washington, D.C. According to the Washington Post, city records indicate the organizations interest in starting a medical marijuana business.

It should be noted, Montel Williams involvement with Abatin Wellness Center is not just a paid sponsorship role. He is a major part of the organization and a major driving force behind their desire to get into the medical marijuana business.
Montel Williams does suffer from multiple sclerosis. It is a terrible affliction that effects you every moment of your life. According to Wikipedia:
Multiple sclerosis, MS, is an inflammatory disease in which the fatty myelinsheaths around the axons of the brain and spinal cord are damaged, leading todemyelination and scarring as well as a broad spectrum of signs and symptoms.
It should be known marijuana use has very positive effects for those with multiple sclerosis. My using marijuana they are able to regain the use and function of their body, not feel as much pain, and be a lot more independent. Without using marijuana, multiple sclerosis patients suffer from day to day with incredible pain. Something Montel Williams is very familiar with.
Williams uses marijuana in coordination with his doctor for his multiple sclerosis. He is familiar with the benefits of the medical use of marijuana with his affliction, but also in others as well.
In addition, the business of medical marijuana seems like it has a strong future. No mater where you stand on the legality of the drug, you must acknowledge the potential business potential of owning a medical marijuana dispensary.
Many of the dispensaries throughout the country are booming with business. Truth be told, when medical marijuana becomes legal in the State of Illinois, I would be lying to you if I said I wouldn’t at least inquire to the steps to qualify.
The market for medical marijuana will come from the medical industry, which doesn’t seem to do anything on a small level. There are billions of dollars that will fly in this new sector of medical marijuana. I would at least consider getting in position to capitalize.

You have to remember, illegal is only what the law indicates. When the law says medical marijuana is ok, then it is a booming industry. I can’t wait to see all marijuana legalized, this will create a boom industry in this county. It won’t be for the smoking of the pot, but the industrial and commercial uses of hemp that will be the boom and put people back to work. Not sure if Obama has the courage to do it though.
