At this point in the evolution of real estate, there is no reason that education shouldn’t be number one on your list. It is the foundation and backbone of your future as a real estate investor and any decent real estate investing program. You have to make sure that you understand the inside and outside of each investment opportunity that is presented to you. And this is something that isn’t up for debate. How can you expect to come out smelling Rosy you don’t even understand the law surrounding the investment style you are pursuing? You can’t. And if you don’t you will love money….that is not the goal.
2) Network, Network, Network
You hear it all the time in real estate that it is all about location, location, location. Well, this is true, but if you are going to be a good real estate investor and follow a real estate investing program worth it’s weight in salt, then you have to understand the critical nature of networking.
Networking is how you are going to find the best deals on the market. Networking is how you are going to find the professionals that are going to help you navigate the various investment obstacles. Networking is how you are going to find the money necessary to get your deals done. Networking is how you are going to stay motivated.
Need we say anymore about how important networking is to the future of your real estate investing business? I don’t think, so but just in case; understand this is a critical element in your real estate investing program.
3) Drive
Good of fashion drive is how we are going to round out this program. You just got to have it deep down inside that you are going to be successful, learn the necessary steps to move forward with your opportunities, and be willing to stay in the fight even when others have fallen by the wayside and are trying to drag you with them. Don’t give up and keep pursuing your dream.
Real estate investing programs come and go, but these are the foundation that anyone can be successful with if they stick to it, continue their learning and development, while networking with the market place and learning all they can.
