Real Estate Investment Club How to Start One

The question of how to start a real estate investment club is one that is very interesting to me because I have started one type and attempted to start another, but had some things happen where the second didn’t work out and we haven’t yet tried to start it again.

Yes, there are different types of real estate investment clubs that you should be aware of before going down this road. To me there are two basic types and a bunch of various from there. There are the real estate investment clubs that main interest is to provide information and resources for people to get together and learn how to invest in real estate. This is the Information Club. Then, there are the other types of clubs where people come together to invest in real estate together. This is the Investment Club.

The Information Club

This is the type of club that I was successful at starting myself. And there is just one trait you need in order to make this happen, desire. You just have to want to will it into being. But obviously there are a few things that you are going to need in order to make this happen. You may not have these things, but relax because you can acquire them with the right amount of desire.

1. Name, purpose, an Agenda

Yes, these are obvious, but you need to have a name that people can remember. You need a purpose so people can be willing to support and get behind you. And you need an agenda for promoting and people can know what to expect from your club.

2. Support

You need to gain the support of people with knowledge and insight that are willing to attend your meetings and share their information.  This may not be as difficult as it seems as professionals in the field are willing to share for the possibility of more exposure and expertise status amongst a group of people.

3. Location

Check various locations and times to meet. You might find that the public library is a great place to get this done as it doesn’t cost you money for the spot and most people are comfortable in a library.

4. Promotion

This usually involves making up some fliers and hitting the current meetings and networking events passing out your material and getting people aware of your events and efforts. It is not that much work and you will meet hundreds of great people in the process.

5. Do it

The last step in any process is action. So, get out there and get business and build  your real estate investment club that you dreamed of.

On another post, I will talk about starting the Investment Club as opposed to the informational club, so we will hold off on that. But if you are a go getter, you will find that to create an informational club isn’t that are and the reward of helping people realize their dreams is something that can be very beneficial for everyone involved. You can do it and create your very own real estate investment club.
