This phenomenon is enticing many US companies to move their
manufacturing and production jobs overseas where people are accepting
pennies compared to US workers that demand education, health care,
retirement, and insurance. In addition, these smaller, hungrier
countries are offering large US corporations, which were once the backbone
of this great country, enormous tax breaks to move their operations.
And as capitalistic organizations, they are moving in droves.
Outsourcing
is a phenomenon of the Internet revolution. Thanks to the global touch of
computers, not only blue collar jobs are going over seas, but white collar
accounting, customer service, and information technology jobs are moving
to the Middle East and India for a fraction of the employment cost in this
country. Many are outraged that the government is allowing this to happen
right under their noses, while this country has a rising unemployment
rate, less job stability than just 15 years ago, disappearing health care,
and dwindling employer compensated retirement plans.
However, there is a quiet revolution that
has been taking place in this country for the past 231 years- a revolution
of people that tired of waiting for a leader, large corporations, and/or
the government to come to their rescue in these difficult times. No,
these people are not interested in a hand out, but an opportunity. They
