There are a million and one different ideas you can use for decorating your porch this summer, but I want to share just a few with you. These are some of my favorites, so yes I am a bit biased, but it is your porch and you can do what you please.

Additional Shade - Your porch may not provide the shade and privacy you desire, therefore, it is a good idea to consider adding some blinds or even curtains to your porch this summer. You can hang some light fabric or even bamboo blinds to your porch to give it a touch of style, class, and shade you desire. Maybe this will entice you to hang out on the porch a little bit more.
Plants, Flowers, and Veggies – Give your porch a bit of life by adding some color to it with plants, flowers, or even veggies. Many people decorate their porch with the plants by either placing them on the floor, hanging them from the ceiling, or even mounting them to the wall. It is not a far fetched idea to have veggies growing in the space as well as your backyard may be overgrown.
Add Furniture – One way to add spice to your porch is to add furniture to it. One of my favorites is a swing, which can be a focal point of the porch. However, the swing is great because it makes for a great hangout location outside of your home, but in the shade for you and your mate to enjoy. In addition, it is a feature often overlooked by investors and homeowners that may be interested in adding spice to their home before they sale.
