Tiny Needle Flu Shots – While getting your shots for the flue, you might notice a tiny needle in the administrators hand. This year even the needle is into losing weight. The length of flu shots needles has gotten noticeably smaller.
The FDA has approved the Sanofi flu shot tiny needle for use in the United States. The company doesn’t expect to manufacture many of these tiny needles. The goal is to produce 1 million tiny needle flu shots for the year. The focus will be on the doctors. Next flu season the will be to mass produce the tiny needle flue shots to the larger commercial market. and the public.
Tiny Needle Flu Shots
The smaller need will more than likely be well received by masses of people. Those that cannot stand needles or getting shots will be much relieved. The needle is much shorter and should cause less stress on the minds of the shot takers.
I have not had the shot, so I can’t do much for telling you it will not hurt as bad. The typical +flu shot needle 1 inch in length is difficult to look at. It looks so big when you think about it being stuck into your arm or body.
Having grown up with a phobia of needles, I can attest to the fear. It is real. I am not as bad as my sister in law, who will require restraints to get any sort of shot. However, I am not a big fan.
The idea of a needle that is one tenth of an inch is very appealing to me. It may hurt the same as a longer needle, but psychologically it is much easier on me.
The Tiny needle flu shots may some the psychological fears of needles, but it also works differently. The one tenth of an inch tiny needle is designed to release the flue shot under the skin. The aim is the dermis, which is suppose to contain many immune cells. The location of flue shots in the dermis lowers the dosage amount, which is suppose to be better for us.
Are you getting flu shots this year?
The discussion of the new tiny needle flu shots got me to thinking. Are you even getting flu shots this year? It seems the news and media outlets to their best to push us towards getting our flu shots. The CDC encourages us all to them. You even hear the White House pushing the need to get your flu shots.
Yet, there is a good percentage of the population that don’t get the. The reasons vary from forgetfulness to down right conspiracy of the government. I have heard it all, but I haven’t heard from you.
According to the CDC, 166 million flu shot vaccines are expected to be delivered this flu season. There are over 360 million Americans. Will you be getting your flu shots this year or will you be like the majority of the country that doesn’t? - Tiny Needle Flu Shots

I get flu shots every year. My wife (RN) brings them home and gives my children and me the shots. It works well, no flu!

We never get the flu shots and haven’t had the flu either.
I can imagine with an RN in the home there is no way around getting the shots.
I’ll get a flu shot if they give one free at work.
The small needle sounds great! I’ve been taking the baby for vaccination and those needles look like they will hit bone!!! So long and scary.
The comment fonts looks much better now that it is a bit bigger.
