Why Professionals and Entrepreneurs Must Have a Website

This week, I was presented with an opportunity to address an organization of ex-Marines that are forming various small business. This is a wonderful organization that is committed to helping those that have served this country with honor and courage providing the blanket of freedom that we enjoy.

It warms my heart to find people that are trying to help our military people take their lives and dreams to the next level. However, when I got the call from a partner of mine checking to see if I could make the presentation, it began to bother me a bit. The reason I was a bit concerned was because the Internet has not been around 20 years as we know it today and I can’t believe that people have to be convinced that this tool is an important one to your business.

Therefore, since I was preparing for this speech this weekend, I thought it would be appropriate to stop and talk to my Invest With Passion family, which is full of professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners, about the importance of having a website and getting involved in the virtual world.

Reason Professionals and Entrepreneurs must have a website

1) Expectation – One of the biggest reasons you must have a website is because of your clients expectations these days. Websites are so common and helpful, most of the people that you will serve will expect you to have one. And if you don’t, then they will assume there is something wrong with your business. If they cannot visit your website and find out a little basic information about your company, then they figure that you are a bootleg organization hanging on by a thread and/or must be hiding something.

2) Inexpensive – The cost to calm this concern in your potential clients is minimal. Website cost has steadily come down over the years and you can get a professional website, training and support for less than $1,000. If you are looking for a professional organization, then consider Think Taylor Marketing And Consulting. They can take care of you in no time.

3) Reach – Having a website gives you an address on the World Wide Web. This reach can allow you to reach potential customers anywhere in the world. You don’t even have to be searching for them. They can find you if you have an address on the web. Potential customers that are searching for your products and services can get all they want and need from your website and make a decision on doing business with you.

4) Branding – It is impossible to brand your business these days without a participating website to strengthen that brand. Your website appears on all of your business fliers, business cars, emails, and more if you have one. If you don’t then, you are missing an opportunity for others to come to your website, further be convinced on your offering, add another impression of your name or logo into their mind, and potential warm up future business as they will remember you more an maybe even pass you on to the next person in need of your services or products.

5) Trending Towards the Internet - If you look at how people are getting their information or companies are reaching their customers, then you will notice that the trends are increasingly moving more and more towards the Internet. As the population becomes more and more comfortable with the Internet and it’s usage spreads to a broader, wider segment of the population, there will soon be a time when everyone in your marketplace is on the Internet.
